Xanavo Data Requirements

Overview

Xanavo scores your store in two parts, and each part has its own data requirement.

Store Health comes from your product catalog. It is ready minutes after install and works at any traffic level, including a store with no visitors yet.

Conversion Health comes from how shoppers actually move through your store. Xanavo counts that activity itself, anonymously, from the moment it is installed. It does not read your historical Shopify Analytics and it does not request access to your customers, so it starts from zero on install day and builds from there.

Two Scores, Two Different Requirements

Score Available Data source
Store Health Minutes after install Your catalog: inventory, variants, pricing, discounting
Conversion Health Once the activity below has accrued Anonymous storefront activity across a rolling 30 day window

Store Health, Available on Day One

No traffic is needed. As soon as Xanavo reads your catalog it can surface products that are out of stock while still drawing visits, products carrying too many variants to choose from, heavy discounting that erodes margin without lifting sales, and prices sitting far above the rest of their collection.

Each of these arrives as a finding with a step-by-step roadmap, so there is real work to do from the first day.

Conversion Health, Unlocked by Your Storefront Data

Before Xanavo publishes a funnel score, it needs enough activity to tell a genuine pattern from random variation. All of the following must be met inside the rolling 30 day window.

What Xanavo Needs Minimum in the Rolling 30 Day Window
Storefront collection active Registered automatically at install
Total product views 200
Distinct products with views 10
Add to cart events 1
Completed checkouts 1

Most stores clear this inside seven days. A busy store can clear it in under a day. A quieter store takes longer, and the progress card inside the app shows live counts against every line, so you always know exactly where you stand.

We do not publish a fixed date, because the timeline depends on your traffic rather than on our processing.

Confidence Tiers beyond the Minimum

Meeting the minimum unlocks the score. More activity sharpens it.

Insight Requirement
Baseline reliability, medium 10 products with 20 or more views each
Baseline reliability, high 20 products with 20 or more views each
Revenue impact, full confidence 100 or more sessions
Device comparison, medium 100 or more device attributed views
Device comparison, high 500 or more device attributed views

Where an estimate sits below full confidence, Xanavo flags it rather than hiding it. You see the number and you see how much weight to put on it.

What This Means

Xanavo does not only look at total traffic or total sales. It analyzes how shoppers move through your store, where they hesitate, and where conversion problems are most likely happening.

That means comparing product performance against your own store baseline, collection engagement, mobile and desktop behavior, add to cart activity, and checkout progress. The result tells you whether the problem sits in your product pages, your collections, your device experience, your checkout, or your store structure.

While Data Is Collecting

The health gauge shows an analyzing state rather than a number. Xanavo will not publish a figure it cannot stand behind, and a placeholder score would be worse than no score at all.

Catalog findings stay fully available the entire time and scans continue to run and complete normally. Once the thresholds are met, the funnel score and the full ranked decision list appear.

Why These Requirements Matter

Conversion diagnosis needs enough behavior data to avoid false conclusions.

A product with only a few views can look weak when it has simply not had the traffic. A device group with very few purchases can look broken when the sample is too small to say anything at all. These thresholds exist so that every finding rests on a meaningful pattern rather than random variation.

Recommended Store Profile

Every Shopify store gets value from Xanavo on day one, because catalog findings do not depend on traffic. Storefront activity determines how quickly the funnel score arrives and how sharp it becomes.

Store Stage What to Expect
New or low traffic store Full catalog findings from day one, funnel score once activity accrues
Growing store Store level and funnel insights, with confidence flags on some estimates
Active store Stronger product, collection, and device level insights
High volume store Highest reliability and the sharpest prioritization

If Your Traffic Drops

Because the window rolls, a very quiet month can take a store back below the thresholds. When that happens Xanavo returns to a collecting state instead of showing a stale number from data that no longer reflects your store. Catalog findings continue as normal throughout.

What Xanavo Never Collects

Xanavo requests products and storefront events only. It does not ask Shopify for access to your customers, which is why there is no customer data consent screen when you install.

  • No names, no emails, no phone numbers, no addresses
  • Storefront activity is counted anonymously and is never tied to a person
  • Where your store requires cookie consent, only consented visitors are counted, so absolute counts run below Shopify Analytics while the rates Xanavo scores on stay accurate
  • Raw activity is deleted after 45 days, and only aggregated per scan figures are kept beyond that
  • Uninstalling removes everything and stops collection immediately

Simple Summary

Your Store Health score and catalog findings are ready minutes after install, at any traffic level.

Your Conversion Health score unlocks once your store has recorded 200 product views across at least 10 different products, plus at least one add to cart and one completed checkout, inside a rolling 30 day window. Most stores get there within seven days, and the progress card shows exactly how far along you are.

Xanavo never requests access to your customer data.
